This is India’s first comprehensive database for media reported cases of Honour Killing since 2017. Honour Killings are murders of young women or men or couple in the name of protecting family’s honour. While civil society and academics now avoid the term “Honour Killing” since there is no honour in murder and violence in this website we have decided to keep the more popular term so that the issue is not misidentified by Google algorithms.
