Poonam is from a Jat community and her deceased husband was a Dalit. Poonam is a mother of a five-month-old and wants justice for her husband Rajesh’s who was allgedly murdered by her family who were against the two tying the knot in 2015. She is also seeking justice for the atrocities faced by her brother-in-law who was beaten brutally by the police and is now paralyzed partially.
